Accommodation definitions:

Self-contained and serviced accommodation includes Holiday Homes, Motels, and Serviced Apartments.  This is the best option for people who want to do their own thing, with the option to cook your own meals and do your own laundry in the privacy of your accommodation.

Guest and hosted accommodation includes Bed and Breakfast, Boutique Accommodation, Farmstays, Homestays, and Lodges.  This type of accommodation is more personal and interactive as you are usually the personal guests of the accommodation owners.  Bathrooms may be en-suite or shared, and meals (if provided) are usually held in a guest or family dining room.

Hotel accommodation covers international hotel chains to smaller hotels of local originality.  Rooms generally have private bathrooms, and there is often a restaurant on-site.

Holiday Park accommodation includes options for pitching a tent, parking a motorhome or campervan, or a range of other options such as basic cabin and shared options.  Facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens are usually shared.

Backpackers accommodation include private backpacker lodges as well as youth hostels, and offer flavour and character to your stay.  Facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens are usually shared.
